Terms of service

The agreement between you and Metrivo. Short, in plain English, and written to describe the product as it is today — a small app, open to anyone, taking no payment.

The short version.

Metrivo is a budgeting tool. It shows you your own numbers and explains what they mean. It is not financial advice and must not be treated as any. It is in closed testing, so it may break, change or lose data — keep your own records of anything that matters. Nothing is charged today. Your data is yours, you can have it back or have it deleted, and you can stop at any time.

1. Who you are agreeing with

Metrivo (“Metrivo”, “we”, “us”) is established and operated from Bulgaria. These terms govern your use of metrivoapp.com and the application behind it.

Metrivo is not yet incorporated as a company. Until it is, your agreement is with the individual who operates the service, reachable at privacy@metrivoapp.com. This page will name the company once one is registered.

By creating an account you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not create one. Our privacy policy forms part of this agreement and describes what we do with your data.

2. Metrivo is early software

This matters more than anything else here, so it is near the top. Anyone can create an account, and the service is under active development, which in practice means:

  • features may change, move or be removed without notice;
  • there is no uptime guarantee and no support commitment;
  • it runs as a single instance, so deployments cause brief interruptions;
  • we may end the service at any time — with reasonable notice and an opportunity to get your data out, which we commit to.

Keep your own records. Do not let Metrivo be the only place any figure you care about exists. It is a tool for understanding your money, not a system of record for it, and certainly not a substitute for your bank's own statements.

3. Metrivo is not financial advice

Metrivo performs arithmetic on figures you enter and describes the result. That is all it does, and it is important to be precise about what it is not:

  • It is not financial, investment, tax, legal or debt advice, and it is not a personal recommendation.
  • We are not authorised or regulated as a financial adviser or any other kind of financial services firm, in Bulgaria or anywhere else.
  • Its suggestions, projections and explanations are generated from what you typed in. They are illustrations, not predictions, and no outcome is promised.
  • Projections of savings or interest are arithmetic on assumptions you supplied. Real returns differ, and money can lose value.

For decisions that actually matter — a mortgage, a loan, a pension, an investment, a debt you are struggling with — speak to a qualified professional. If you are in financial difficulty, please contact a free debt advice service in your country rather than relying on any app.

4. AI-generated insights

One feature asks a third-party language model to explain your figures, and only when you press the button. You should know how much to trust it:

  • Every figure it is shown was calculated by Metrivo. The model is asked to explain numbers, never to compute them, and its output is filtered before you see it.
  • It can still be wrong, misleading or simply unhelpful. Language models are like that.
  • Treat it as a second opinion from something that cannot see your full circumstances, because it cannot — see the privacy policy for exactly what it is sent.
  • Nothing it produces is advice, and section 3 applies to it in full.

5. Your account

  • You must be at least 16.
  • Give accurate details, and keep your email address current — it is how you get back in.
  • Your account is for you. Do not share your password. If you want someone else in your budget, use the household feature, which is built for exactly that.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has got in, and change your password — doing so signs out every other session.
  • We cannot recover your password; we do not store it in a readable form. We can send you a reset link.

6. What you may not do

Ordinary use is fine. Do not:

  • break the law with it, or use it to launder money or disguise the proceeds of crime;
  • upload other people's personal data without a proper basis for doing so;
  • attack, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or try to reach data that is not yours;
  • resell access;
  • use it to build a competing product from the inside.

We may suspend an account that is doing any of this, and will say why.

7. Your data stays yours

You own everything you put into Metrivo. You grant us only the narrow permission needed to run the service for you — to store your data, process it, display it back to you, and share the parts you explicitly mark as shared with your household.

We do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use your financial records to train any model. That permission ends when your data is deleted.

You can ask for a copy or a deletion at any time by writing to privacy@metrivoapp.com. Both are done by hand today, within 30 days.

8. Households

Joining a household means deliberately sharing part of your budget with someone. What they can and cannot see is set out in the privacy policy — read it before you join one.

Settlement balances between household members are a record of what the two of you told the app. Metrivo does not move money, hold funds, or act as a payment service. Settling up happens between you, by whatever means you use; Metrivo only notes that you said it was done.

9. Plans and payment

Nothing is charged today. There is no billing in Metrivo, no payment method is collected, and no money changes hands. Metrivo is not free forever by promise — paid plans are intended — but no price has been set and none is published anywhere on this site, so there is nothing here for you to rely on either way.

When paid plans do launch, this section will be replaced with real terms — pricing, billing cycle, renewal, cancellation, refunds and your statutory withdrawal rights — and you will be told before any charge is made. You will never be charged for an account you created before that happened without agreeing to it first.

10. Availability, and the limits of it

We try to keep Metrivo running and to keep your data safe, but we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. It runs as one instance on one database file. Deployments interrupt it briefly. Backups exist but are not contractual.

11. Ending it

You can stop at any time, for any reason. Email privacy@metrivoapp.com to have the account and its contents deleted.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches section 6, or close the service altogether. Except where you have seriously breached these terms, we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to get your data out first.

12. Liability

Metrivo is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions you take based on what it shows you, for financial loss, lost profit or lost opportunity, or for data loss where you had a reasonable opportunity to keep your own copy.

Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Because no charge is currently made for the service, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you have paid us, which today is nothing.

Your consumer rights are not affected. If you use Metrivo as a consumer, you keep every right EU consumer law gives you, and nothing in these terms takes any of them away. Where a term here conflicts with a mandatory consumer protection, the protection wins.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version and date at the top will change. For a material change we will give notice rather than editing quietly, and continuing to use Metrivo after a change means accepting it. If you do not accept it, close your account.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Bulgarian law, and the courts of Bulgaria have jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country, and you may bring proceedings in your own courts. EU consumers can also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
